Welcome to the Widget Setup page! This document will guide you through the process of setting up your widgets.
The term "widget" refers to a specific configuration (e.g. appearance and behavior) of the website chat which consists of the chat button that opens up to the chat window. You are able to configure different widgets for different scenarios, for example:
- You want the website chat to have a different design depending on the page of your website
- You want the website chat to behave differently depending on the page of your website (e.g. be very proactive and inviting people to chat vs. very subtle)
- You want the website chat to route a contact that is starting a new chat to different groups of operators depending on the page of your website (e.g. sales vs. support)
So when you have 10 widgets included you can create up to 10 different website chat configurations. However, usually our customers only have one to three.
